Some of the highlights of this cruise include the following:

Marmaris: See the highlights of the Blue Voyage for more details of Marmaris. Bozukkale: Literally translated as ‘broken castle’ the ruins of a castle stand on the headland, formally called Loryma the bay was used at various times to assemble naval fleets, most notably in 395 BC by Demetrius Polioketes before his attack on Rhodes. Polioketes constructed a huge catapult estimated to weigh around 125 tons. The attack failed but Polioketes sold his machine and donated the money to the Rhodians to build a statue to commemorate the battle. The result was the huge bronze statue of Helios, the sun God that stood astride the harbour at Rhodes and was one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world.

Datça: A fishing village which has developed over the years into a tourist resort spread along the shoreline. Watch the boats come and go from one of the harbourside bars or restaurants or explore the selection of boutique and souvenir shops situated off the sea front. For more details on Datça click here.

Knidos (Optional Excursion): Knidos houses the ruins of an ancient city spread along the Dorian Promontory. Amongst the ruined houses, streets, temples and harbour the most famous is the Temple of Aphrodite, which legend says housed the most beautiful statue of Aphrodite, modelled on Phyrne, the most famous and beautiful hetaera of her time.
