2009 looks set to be a bumper year for Turkey and North Cyprus specialist, Anatolian Sky Holidays. Loryma Peninsula : Home to some of Turkey’s most stunning scenery, the Loryma Peninsula combines fjord-like inlets and tiny rocky islets with fragrant pine-clad hills that drop into azure seas.  New for 2009 in the tranquil hamlet of Kulmubuk is the Serendip Select (page 51), a sixteen room boutique hotel right on the beachfront.  Prices start from £639 per person per week.

 

Turkey and Greek Island Gulet tours :   For 2009, Anatolian Sky has added three new itineraries to its choice of luxury gulet trips. The new tours combine Turkey’s stunning coastline with the charming Greek Islands (page 24/25).  The Symi and Kos tour, for example, is an eight day trip beginning with an overnight stay in the sophisticated resort of Datca and moving onto the Greek islands of Symi and Kos then back into Turkey to Bodrum, Cleopatra’s Island and Karacasogut Harbour.  The price for this tour starts from £624 per person.   There is a choice of four luxury gulets for 2009, all with air conditioning and en suite facilities.

 

North Cyprus :  The 2009 programme ranges from intimate, Cypriot-run hotels to luxurious 5 star establishments and includes a selection of private villas which come with free car hire. New for this year are two five star hotels in charming Kyrenia. The Savoy Ottoman Palace (page 158) with its opulent marble lobby, 100 deluxe rooms and 15 suites starts from £669 per person. And The Colony Hotel (page 152) with superb views from its terrace top pool over the Five Finger Mountains to one side and the sea to the other – prices start from £575 per person.
