What can you expect from your Gulet Cruise?

Our Turkey gulet holidays are ideal for relaxing; Turkey's stunning coastline with its rich history and beautiful scenery just slips past as you lie back and enjoy the sun and the views.

Gulets are traditional Turkish motor-yachts, which are beautifully crafted from wood. They have a spacious sundeck, perfect for soaking up the sun and admiring the views as you cruise the clear waters of Aegean and Mediterranean Turkey. Gulet cruising holidays are laid-back affairs and Anatolian Sky Holidays only works with good quality gulets, all of which are exclusive to us. This not only gives us more control over their operation, but also means that you are likely to be surrounded by like-minded people on your gulet cruise, one of the most important elements of your gulet holiday. We also offer Gulet cruise and stay options where you can combine a gulet holiday with a stay in a hotel, for more details please contact our friendly reservations team.

Turkey Gulet Cruise Itineraries

A gulet cruise allows you to reach secluded bays not accessible by land and to swim in the clearest of water, away from the shore. During the day you will usually stop at some point to visit places of interest along your route, the perfect way to explore the remains of ancient civilisations, which once inhabited this part of the world. For more details of the itineraries followed on our gulet cruises click on one of the boat links above.

Our Gulets

We are working with five different high quality gulets in 2012, to view the details of our gulets click one of the boat links above.

What to bring on your Gulet Cruise Holiday

Gulet cruise holidays are different to other types of holiday and you should pack wisely for your trip. Swimwear, casual wear and bare feet are the order of the day - shoes may not be worn on board, although you will, of course, need to bring some with you for when you go ashore. By nature of the design, space is limited so it is best not to bring too much with you and a holdall is recommended instead of a rigid suitcase. Sheets are provided as is one towel for your cabins although not swimming towels.

Free Food & Soft Drinks on our Gulets

Breakfast on board will usually be a traditional Turkish breakfast which is the perfect start to a lazy day in the sun. This usually consists of fresh white bread, butter, jam, honey, crumbly 'white' cheese, similar to feta, 'yellow' cheese, which is a hard cheese, together with egg, tomato and cucumber. Breakfast is washed down with strong Turkish tea, coffee or milk.

The chefs have carefully prepared a seven day menu from the best of Turkish cuisine, serving a different mouth-watering delicacy each day.

Lunch is usually a light meal, which most people prefer in the heat of the day. It includes Turkish meze type dishes, which are mostly vegetarian, usually accompanied by pasta, rice or chips. The evening meal is the main meal of the day and will be based around fish or meat dishes.

There is no problem in catering for vegetarians, although it does help if you can let us know in advance so that the chef can make sure that they have the necessary provisions to cater for you. If you have any other special dietary requirements then please do let us know, although you should bear in mind that the restrictions of cooking on board mean that there is a limit to the number of different dishes which can be prepared.

Drinks
Water and soft drinks are included in the price of your holiday. Tea and coffee are also included at breafast and afternoon tea. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the bar on board and the captain will always make you aware of prices at the beginning of your holiday. Please note that you are not allowed to consume your own drinks on board including duty free purchases.

Please note:: Gulets do not cater for children under 15 unless the whole gulet is taken as a private hire, in this case, children under 6 are not permitted on board.
