There are several shops, waterside bars and restaurants for you to discover.
There is a wealth of restaurants, bars and clubs for you to visit, or walk up to the old castle overlooking the marina and bay, built by Suleyman the Magnificent in 1522 as a base for his assault on Rhodes against the Knights of St John.

Bozukkale: Literally translated as ?broken castle? the ruins of a castle
stand on the headland, formally called Loryma the bay was used at various
times to assemble naval fleets, most notably in 395 BC by Demetrius
Polioketes before his attack on Rhodes.
Polioketes constructed a huge catapult estimated to weigh around 125
tons. The attack failed but Polioketes sold his machine and donated the
money to the Rhodians to build a statue to commemorate the battle. The
result was the huge bronze statue of Helios, the sun God that stood astride
the harbour at Rhodes and was one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world
Knidos (Optional Excursion): Knidos houses the ruins of an ancient city
spread along the Dorian Promontory. Amongst the ruined houses, streets,
temples and harbour the most famous is the Temple of Aphrodite, which
legend says housed the most beautiful statue of Aphrodite, modelled on
Phyrne, the most famous and beautiful hetaera of her time.

Highlights:

Gemiler: A small island lies a short distance off the coast on which you
will find the remains of a sizeable Byzantine settlement and although many
of the buildings are in ruins, there is still plenty to see. According to local
folklore the island was once a pirate stronghold and another story tells the
tale of the island being ruled by a Queen who had skin sensitive to the sun.
A covered road was built from her palace on the top of the island down to
the sea so she could go for a swim, parts of an arched road do still exist so
perhaps there is some truth to the story.
Kekova: Taking its name from the Greek ?Kakava? meaning ?the island of
partridges? (although none can be seen today), Kekova Island is situated just
off the mainland. As you cruise the channel keep your eyes out, the area is
famous for the submerged ruins, the submerged harbour at Kale Köy and
the sarcophagus breaking through the water.
