Still little more than a large village nestling in the shade of the hills, with a crescent-shaped swathe of dark sand and shingle beach to the fore facing the turquoise waters of the South Aegean. The centre of Turunc is really just the one main street, which runs parallel to the beach and where the friendly shops, restaurants and the odd music bar is located. There is plenty here to provide for all your needs during your holiday but at the same time the warm, intimate character of the resort is largely undisturbed. At the charming quay, boats are moored which head out for day-trips along the peninsula from Turunc. Turkey's busiest resort, Marmaris is only approximately 30 minutes away, an easy trip for those who are missing the bright lights or simply want to stock up on souvenirs to take home.
